a few things: march

i think it's just inevitable. every few weeks/months i feel the need to make a compilation of the things I'm loving at that moment in time. whether it be the people i spend time with, songs I'm listening to on repeat, or simply just images and quotes that make me happy. so here goes, march 2016!

so, do these flowers scream spring or what?? I've been loving the warmer weather!! (really just because it means that summer is around the corner!) but i can definitely appreciate spring and her pretty flowers, even though she only stays in utah for like .02 seconds..

its been so good to be talking to mia lately. we're both so busy sometimes it's hard to find a time where both of us are free! but I'm so glad we got to go to lunch with our mamas and spend time together! she makes me laugh! (especially when she sends me tons of videos of her singing with the silly face-change filters! ha!)

saige is such a cutie and i am just so lucky to be friends with her, and a recipient of her good morning texts!
also my new berks..

and i think im going to frame this in my room.
(updates to come)
DOGS IN GLASSES ARE MY WEAKNESS OH MY HEAVENS.
ok but can you blame me?
song of the month: wild runners by hugo hans!

im not going to pretend i don't play with this filter everyday.. because i totally do.

and this is a quote thats been in my mind quite a bit lately. i think sometimes you fall into the flow of things and forget why you're really doing what you're doing. i want to go throughout each day and feel happy because I've done something to better myself. and i think this saying emphasizes that!

a week in review: february 14-20

i told you i'd be back!
and back with a photo journal of my week! it was busy, but one of the best!

february fourteenth:
-valentines day
-went to nana and poppops for a valentines spaghetti dinner, they're the cutest!
-after dinner mason, grace, an i were all in really funny moods, and thats always the best! i love having laughing fits with them!
-i've actually taken a liking in WHITE conversation hearts. i remembering being little and getting them on valentines day and thinking "this is just wanna-be candy" haha, but this year i decided i actually really like the white ones! and when you actually take the time to read them, they can be pretty funny! for example:
(fax me)
february fifteenth:
-NO SCHOOL, and it was soooo good.
-i took a three hour nap
-grace sang to me
-ordered pizza for dinner (cheese on cheese? or blessings on blessings? food for thought.)

february sixteenth:
-NO SCHOOL x2!! we got lucky with a "teacher work day"
-finished any leftover homework i had
-mentally prepared myself to go back to school (long, hard process that was)
-wrote afton a birthday card

february seventeenth:
-SAVANNAH LAWSON'S DAY OF BIRTH! she turned sixteen, and she was the last member of the quad squad to do it! she had other plans that night, so me, morg, saige, and grace settled for lunch with her. we left halfway through our third periods and went up to cafe rio! it was actually so fun, and I'm glad we got to spend that time with her on her special day! after school, i went over to her house and gave her my gift, which you can watch here ! this girl is so crazy loved!
pt. 1

pt. 2

in honor of her, me and a few of the other girls wore our hair in the iconic buns she is so known for!
(also, please notice I'm not even wearing a coat! it's getting warmer and I'm overjoyed about it!!)
february eighteenth:
-huge rainstorm! it was seriously the best thing that could've happened! it was so beautiful, and the best part? it caused the power to go out in the school! that meant that the whole building was lit with natural light from the windows! lunch got pushed forward, but connor and i had already eaten, so we went and sat in his car and watched the rain on the windows and talked and laughed- so basically just the things we usually do. :-)

february nineteenth:
-savannah and i are now CPR certified! yayayay!
-after school, saige and i went to coldstone because she had a gift card and i just wanted ice cream, ha. we had a cute little date and she told me some funny stories about her dad. afterwards we went to the DI just to look around, but we ended up finding not one, not two, but THREE taylor swift concert t- shirts! saige hadn't been to RED, and i hadn't been to SPEAK NOW, so we each got a shirt for the concert we weren't able to attend! luckily i had a dollar in pocket change to get it, and saige found some money in her car. we were both so excited and decided to make DI trips a monthly thing!
"ew" -her dad
-later that night, i got to go hang out with abbey and connor! abbey was in town for a concert (more on that later) and so it worked out really nicely that i got to spend time with her! we went to part of battle of the bands, which was happening at my high school. afterwards we went to a local grocery store and smelt some candles (one of which smelt like cough syrup- ew), and then we went back to their house to play a game involving some really funny/accurate pictures drawn by yours truly. the night ended with some swinging at the elementary school and a cute picture!
i love these morrisons!

february twentieth:
-for the majority of the morning i just goofed off with grace, and that's always fun
-i picked up my room and hung some new things on my wall
-THEN IT WAS TIME FOR VANCE JOY. we've been waiting for this concert since around october, and it was finally time! first we went to FIVE GUYS for dinner, then to the venue, which was a little bit sketchy to be honest, but it turned out to be perfect! jamie lawson and elle king opened up for him, and they were fun even though i hadn't really heard of them before.. and then vance came on AND I DIED. he was seriously the cutest guy. we were off to the side, but we were almost on the front bar! so pretty close. but he just had the whole crowd in his hand and by the end of the night you knew every girl in there had fallen in love with him. cute thing.

#anticipation
"ah baby it's late, can we talk in the mornin?"

we were seriously swooning the entire show..

i stole this picture from abb's vsco account because i liked it so much!
but anyway he is just wonderful and i haven't stopped listening to his music since.

it was a good week.

*sighs happily*

hello! after a long break and some self-discovery I'm back and ready to get moving! i am so pleased to announce that my blog will be updated more often and this will be a happy place full of smiles and memories rather than a ghost town with tumbleweeds rolling across the screen (yikes).
i guess first we should play some catch up  though; here is my story as of late!
sophomore year, term three, february. school is crazy! and as always, my biggest source of stress. last week we had to create our schedules for junior year.. WHY DONT I KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH MY LIFE?? picking classes was incredibly difficult for me. i have no idea what i want to be when i grow up, i have no idea where i want to go, and i have no idea what the journey of getting there will be like. all i know, is that from this angle, it sure looks scary. BUT i continue to tell myself that one way or another i will get there! just the anticipation of the "how" freaks me out a little. the thought of me reading back on this post and laughing at my anxious little sophomore self is amusing. one way or another, things will work out, time will pass, and hopefully so will these nervous feelings!
everything. is. figureoutable.
my january goal was to memorize basic star constellations and: CHECK!
i hung these cute little things on my wall, and they were such a help! plus, i think they look pretty neat!
snip snip went ELEVEN INCHES of my goldie locks! it was such a big change. there are so many things i want to try this year, and chopping my hair was the perfect catalyst to get it started! so far is has been thoroughly enjoyable and, well, I'm glad it happened.
my mom was just CRINGING in the corner as each piece hit the floor.. but the finished product has changed her mind!!

my room has been clean since 2015 and if thats not my biggest accomplishment, then i don't know what is.
video projects have been fun, I've got some really good ideas! I'm definitely not pro yet, but id say I'm getting better!! slowly but surely- and I'm excited for you to see what i have in store!

thats a pretty good life update i think.. and don't worry! ill be back soon!
